As a blog isn't just about creating but also about posting I thought I'd post a some of my antiques, things I did a long time ago. Many years ago I attended a City & Guilds course in Creative Embroidery. One of my final pieces was a field of sunflowers.
Each individual flower was stitched with many layers of thread and took hours to complete.
I never quite worked out how much yarn I actually used and I can't remember how long it took me to finish. My family and friend made fun of me and my obsession with sunflowers and to this day one of my
favourite colour combinations is yellow and blue.

Oh now this is truly amazing!!! I can't even begin to imagine how to do this much less the amount of time and yarn etc used!!! and no wonder yellow and blue are a fav!!! awesome dear!! Hugs Linda

Very beautiful sunflowers. What are the dimensions? I love the blue and yellow combo, reminds me of Provence. The Artweeks web site (I'm not as keen on their guide) is very attractive with the two colors--it's www.artweeks.org.
I've been doing a lot of free advertising for them, but the site is really much more useful than their guide, especially since they don't have the URL anywhere. One of the guild members couldn't even find her own group's listing!
